Spinach crepe with meat and cheese by Ghada El Tally

  • Serves 4
  • 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/12 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp butter

 

For the stuffing:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 chicken breast, chopped to small cubes
  • 1 cup mushroom
  • 3 cups spinach, chopped
  • 6 Kiri® square cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Sprinkle of nutmeg

 

For the sauce:

  • 2 cups cooking cream
  • 1 stock cube
  • ½ cup basil
  • 1 cup milk

 

For the topping:

  • ½ cup shredded cheese

Cooking Directions

  1. In a blender, put milk, egg, flour and mix well, till you get a smooth liquid dough.
  2. In a bowl, spread the mix with butter and pour it in a portion of the mixture.
  3. Spread the mix evenly including the edges, to get a thin layer of crepe when the bottom layer turns brown, and do the same for the other side.
  4. Repeat the process till the mixture is done.

 

For the stuffing:

  1. In a bowl, put butter and oil with the onion, then stir it well.
  2. Add pieces of chicken, and stir till cooked.
  3. Add mushrooms, spinach, Kiri cheese, and stir the mixture. Season it with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  4. Place the crepe layer and spread a spoonful of stuffing, then wrap it into a roll. Repeat the process for every portion.
  5. Stack the cannelloni in an oven dish. In a bowl, put the cream with the stock cubes, then add basil and milk, leaving it over the heat till cooked.
  6. Pour the mixture on top of the cannelloni, and sprinkle it with cheese.
  7. Finally, put in the oven and cook it till it turns brown.
  8. Enjoy.
